Jeffrey Hoffeld is a licensed psychoanalyst. He is a graduate of the analytic program of the Institute for Contemporary Psychotherapy, where he is a staff therapist. Jeffrey also has graduate degrees in art history from Columbia University and a graduate degree in English (Creative Writing) from New York University. He is a fellow of the New York Institute for the Humanities.
Jeffrey’s approach is psychodynamic, incorporating an understanding of the individual’s developmental history, attachment relationships, affects, and present-day functioning. By exploring an individual’s inner world, a process of personality growth is initiated, with a more integrated and coherent psychic structure, in which internal disharmony is reduced.
Jeffrey is conducting independent research on trauma resulting from state violence.
